Liebster Award

My dear blogger friend at Diary of a Little Chicken nominated me for a Liebster Award!  I think the last time I've been nominated for anything was a couple weeks ago when my husband nominated me to pull the weeds in the front lawn.

Luckily, I can talk about myself all damn day. 

11  Random Facts about Me:

1.  I dance a lot for my husband, and I totally suck at it.  Like random commercials will come on and I will dance, or he'll be in the shower and I'll run into the bathroom and start doing the chicken dance, or something equally weird. 

2.  Like Chickin, I'm an adrenaline junkie.  The catch though is that I'm terrified of heights.  So apparently, I like scaring the crap out of myself.  I love roller coasters and anything that may mean I might fall to my death.

3.  I'm a list maker.  I have a list of things to do everyday and I don't sleep until I have done every single item on the list. 

4.  I don't drink pop.  However, if I DO have a sip of it, I am immediately hooked and I have to have my own. 

5.  My temperature of comfort is about 73 to 74 degrees.  My husband jokes if it's any colder, I need a winter coat.  If it's any warmer, I'm sweating my non-existent balls off.  It is currently 73 degrees in my house. 

6.  Right around our first wedding anniversary, I donated over a foot of my hair to Locks of Love and my hair was still past my shoulders.

7.  I can beat my husband in HORSE, and I'll never let him forge it. 

8.  My favorite gift to get is socks.  Knee high socks in the winter are the BEST. 

9.  I am *this* close to graduating with my MA in Theoretical Psychology... 

10.  ...although my dream job is to be a stay at home mom, which I almost was. 

11.  My favorite TV show is ER.  I think it only got better as the seasons went on.  

Questions from Chickin

1. Rank the 4 seasons from best to worst and explain why!

Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring.  Fall because of the weather and beautiful colors.  Plus I love anything pumpkin flavored!  Fall is my fat season.  During the winter, my husband is home more since construction has stopped.  Summer for vacations and bonfires (but not the weather), and then Spring because in Chicago Spring is pretty much non-existent.  We go from snow to OMG ITS SO HOT. 

2. Sweet or salty?

Sweet for sure!  I eat dessert EVERY DAY.  I could have cake for dinner and be happy.  I'm like a 5 year old child. 

3. What was the last concert you went to?

I think it was Eric Church last year (unless you count CMA FEST).  We also had a private concert (about 50 people) with him right before the headlining show, and turns out he is kind of a dick.  He seemed hella annoyed to be playing for anyone. 

4. If you could be any animal for a day what would you be and why?

A mermaid, for obvious reasons.  Although.. are they animals?  (Note that I am not asking if they are real or not, because THEY ARE). 

5. If you received $5,000 in the mail today with no return address, what would you do with it?

Finders Keepers. Who wants to go to dinner?

*edit: If I were in a good mood, I would probably take it and pay off my student loan.  If I were in a bad mood.... I'd be on the first plane out of Chicago on vacation!  Maybe Alaska!

6. Do you have any allergies?

Just to bitches. 

7. What do you do for work? Did you go to school for it?

My husband and I own a construction company, so I get to work from home.  I have zero education for it lol, so I kinda went into this blind.  But I do have a BA in History and Psychology (double major) along with my certification in secondary education.  I taught high school for awhile before I did this.  

8. What is your most favorite memory?

Holding Conner and Benjamin in my arms for the very first time.  I couldn't believe that they were mine.  Who knew I could make babies so beautiful?

9. How often do you shave your legs?

LOL, never.  Before you go judging me, I wax them every 1.5 weeks. 

10. Favorite movie of all time? (Only ONE!)

Apollo 13, easy.  Those of you have been reading this know I love NASA and anything having to do with the moon.  Plus it is probably one of the most inspiring stories out there. 

11. What is your absolute favorite thing to do?

Go cruising!  There is something about being out in the water that just calms me down.  I can stare at the ocean for hours.
