Everyone was shocked. I think most people thought I'd have one of each, or two girls. No one - and I mean no one - guessed two boys EXCEPT THIS GIRL RIGHT HERE. I knew it. I called them my little guys right from the first ultrasounds and when we saw two little firehoses on the screen, I looked over at my husband and said, "I knew it." The ultrasound tech must have been wondering why I wasn't screaming for joy - I was happy, of course, but she wasn't telling me anything I didn't already know. I had boys clothes and toys piling up in their nursery since they were like, oh, I don't know... 10 weeks? If she had told me they were girls I would have fallen off the table in shock.
The balloons weren't even deflated by the time Conner and Benjamin were born.
Christmas, you are going to suck next year.
