Like my lopsided picture? My camera wouldn't sit straight on the tripod :(
How far along? 25 weeks
What's happening with baby? Baby is about 13.5 inches long and is about a pound and a half - although, this little nugget is probably a bit smaller. She is growing more hair! I hope she has mine...
Total weight gain: My home healthcare nurse and I both decided not to go with my OB's scale anymore, since it is very dependent on what I am wearing to the office that day. My scale says I am up 9 pounds so far.
Maternity clothes? Bought my first maternity dress last weekend for a Christmas party! But still in my regular jeans.
Stretch marks? Itchy belly... not a good sign.... I'm watching for stretch marks!
Sleep: So. Tired. I've been peeing like a champ at night and unfortunately waking my husband up in the process.
Miss Anything? Soft serve ice cream. Sushi. Poached eggs. I have a list of foods to be delivered to my room the day Baby C is born. Forget the baby gifts, I just want everyone coming with food!
Best moment this week: Baby girl is super strong - even with her anterior placenta. She actually scared me the other night when she moved - she practically made my hand fly off my belly!
Difficulties this week: My OB appointment was bumped up to yesterday since they are craming patients in before Thanksgiving. Both OBs got called for deliveries yesterday, so I didn't get to see them. I had a TON of question about Baby C's head... guess it will have to wait until next week. Also - ultrasound tech forget to send pictures to my email/phone so no peak of baby girl this week :
Movement: Oh yes... I have a feeling she will be a tiny force of nature - Napoleon syndrome, maybe?
Food cravings/aversions: Want. Ice. Cream. RIGHT NOW! Also looking forward to Thanksgiving food. I want some turkey smothered in gravy.
Symptoms: Just the swelling! It is slowly getting worse, but thankfully I have the greatest husband ever who rubs my legs every night.
Looking forward to: The nursery getting painted this weekend. All of Conner, Ben, and Baby C's belongings are jam packed in my office and our master bedroom... and our dining room is crowded with giant furniture boxes. I am starting to freak out over the lack of order in our house and I need everything to be in their rightful place!
Sending you lots of hugs and hope!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to all & I can't believe how small our baby loss community is... I'm so thrilled for you Krystal & my heart is so heavy for your losses Lanie (I recognized your blog name)... I think of you both so often (I'm the person who works at Method & has correspond with your SIL)... big huge hugs to all... -Lynn
DeleteThank you both :)
Deleteyou.look.amazing. Also, your belly popped :) Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Morgan!
DeleteYou look great (as always)!! And that is exciting about wanting to paint the nursery and get things set up.
ReplyDeleteRegarding stretch marks- they say it is genetic - but my theory is it can't hurt to stay hydrated and to use creams... I use heavier creams and apply after shower and before bed as my skin has stretched throughout the pregnancy... this also helps keep the itchiness at bay.
I agree - I've been hydrating like crazy and hoping it will at least delay the inevitable (my mom got stretch marks). Thanks for the advice!
DeleteI can't belive you are still in regular jeans! Sounds like baby C is thriving. Love the great update.
ReplyDeleteNot regular jeans for long :)
DeleteYou look amazing! I hope Baby C has your hair too - I'll be so jealous of both of you! I can't wait to see the nursery progress!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you weren't able to speak to your doctor. I can only imagine how frustrating and scary it must be to have to keep waiting. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts and praying that Baby C is getting everything she needs to keep growing big and strong for many, many more weeks.
Aw thank you Ana!
DeleteI can't wait for Thanksgiving! I want all the food!!
ReplyDeleteYou are looking amazing!
Also, I hope the painting went well this weekend and you love the color!
FOOOOOOOD. And the best part is on Thanksgiving we have TWO reasons to stuff our faces - holidays and pregnancy :)
Deletelooking fabulous! Speaking of Itty Baby Girl - one of my recently favorite quotes:
ReplyDelete“Though she be but little, she is fierce!”
Ever since you posted that, I cannot stop thinking of that quote! Thanks for sharing!
DeleteI tried to see if there was an email but couldn't find any, so sorry if this is long comment. I just wanted to say I'm so happy I found your blog, it has helped me through my grief and guilt. I too lost twin boys, Devin Ryan & Maddox Daniel on August 1st. It was not due to an infection but I had a very difficult pregnancy with each week bringing a new obstacle to overcome. They were oh so strong and made it to exactly 23 weeks. Our stories parallel in ways from infertility to holding our twin boys while they take their last breath peacefully. Reading your blog has given me hope as I read about your sub-pregnancy. I'm not sure where I am at yet when it comes to religion, I just take it day by day and see how I feel at that time. Yesterday I prayed for you, your hubs, Benjamin & Conner and for baby C. I do believe they are constantly looking over us and are with us every day. I do like to picture Devin & Maddox playing with their great grandparents, great uncle and other angel babies, maybe they even met your boys, it's a comforting thought. So I just want to thank you very much for creating this blog and for being so honest. It was and is very therapeutic for me. You're a very strong woman! Missing Devin & Maddox along with your sweet boys Conner & Benjamin. ~Kim
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your story. My heart breaks for you. I love the names that you picked for your boys. I will be keeping you, your family, and your angel babies in my prayers. There is a comment box/contact form at the very end of the page on my blog (will only show up on the desktop, not mobile version). If you send a message there, it won't show up on my blog but will instead send me an email with your message. If you ever need to talk, feel free to send a message there. I wish you the best - it is a tough journey, but I fully believe that our boys can still do amazing things and affect other people's lives.
DeleteYou look great! And your hair is wonderful, I can see why you'd want baby to have hair like yours.
ReplyDeleteAw thank you!
DeleteThank you Carrie!
